Project

Model-Based Diesel HCCI Transient Controller in Integrated System Level Modeling - My work is based on an integrated multi-cylinder engine, emissions and aftertreatment model platform built using GT-Power, MATLAB/Simulink and Fortran. The integrated model that we presently have available at the ERC has the soot/NOx emission model and the DPF and DOC aftertreatment models. A control strategy (developed by a previous student) for controlling HCCI transients has recently been incorporated into this integrated model. With these systems in place, I am studying the effects of engine transients on, among other things, emissions.
